The Clappform team attended the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona, one of the most inspiring international gatherings in the field of urban innovation and digital transformation.
It was a tremendous week filled with new insights, collaboration, and exciting opportunities to share our work and connect with partners from across Europe.
Together with Geonovum, we participated in a session to present the results of Testbed 2.0 Digital Twins, exploring how Digital Twin technology can make cities smarter, more sustainable, and better aligned with the needs of their citizens.
We were proud to be among the finalists: our colleague Bastiaan Kuijt delivered a pitch during the Urban Challenges, organised by BABLE Smart Cities, where we presented our data-driven solutions for urban development.
A highlight of the week was our collaboration with Analyze and the municipality of Alkmaar. Together, we demonstrated how the Digital Twin can make urban challenges more transparent, utilising open standards and a shared foundation as a basis for the future of Dutch cities. By integrating our Liveability Model into Alkmaar's Digital Twin, we showed how data supports better decision-making for more liveable and resilient cities.
In addition to the sessions, we engaged in valuable discussions regarding new opportunities in Belgium and Germany, strengthening our international partnerships and expanding our smart city network.
Many thanks to Zoë Spaaij and Esther Schoemaker for making this week a great success!
We are highly enthusiastic about what the future holds and look forward to continuing to shape the future of smart, data-driven cities together.
